Study transnational political processes
Are you interested in international politics and topics such as transnationalization, globalization, the United Nations and NGOs? These topics are all covered in the one-year full-time English-language Master's program Political Science: International Relations and Transnational Governance. In this Master's program you will get acquainted with current scientific research in the field of international relations. You will also learn about the most important research traditions and approaches.

Questions of war and peace, terrorism and economic globalization do not limit themselves to national borders and therefore require and international approach. As a result, politicians and diplomats are ever more frequently brought into contact with multinationals, NGOs and intergovernmental organizations such as the World Bank. This results in a shift in political power. In the program Political Science: International Relations and Transnational Governance you will analyze these type of questions. The program offers intensive coaching by means of tutorials and workshops, each taught by qualified and internationally acclaimed lecturers.

The programme
The Master’s in Political Science gives you a thorough, broad-based training in social and political science methodology and theory. This involves the application and practical use of a variety of political research methods and getting acquainted with a range of theoretical perspectives and how to integrate these in your research. The Master’s in Political Science is a one-year full-time programme, taught entirely in English. It has a workload of 60 credits and features four specializations:
  • International Relations and Transnational Governance (IR)
  • Comparative European Politics (CEP)
  • Global Environmental Governance (GEG)
  • Policy and Politics (PP)
