 The four-year International Communication Bachelor’s degree programme provides a broad and extensive knowledge of international and intercultural communication. You will study how culture determines communication. You will learn to recognize and analyse communication problems, to plan communication strategy, and to apply various communication media including internet, intranet and multimedia. You will share the programme with students from all corners of the globe. International Communication graduates work in all sorts of communication functions, both in the public and private sectors. These functions include cultural mediator, international public relations officer, event manager, advertising coordinator, communication advisor, spokesperson, and publicity manager.
Programme Outline
In the first two years you will receive a basic programme in international communication covering a wide range of subjects from communication theory (including international communication) to economics, and from psychology to audiovisual production. English Language and Communication and Intercultural Competence form the core subjects in this. You will spend the third year abroad: one semester at another university and one semester on work placement in an international company. In your fourth year you will specialise and write your thesis.

Entry Requirements
Students with a secondary school diploma (including the subject economics) that qualifies them for entry to a university of applied sciences and who have a good command of English are eligible to apply for this degree programme. An intake assessment makes up part of the admission procedure for International Communication.
