Admission Requirements
Requirements for admission to the Innovative Hospitality Management program:  |
a bachelor degree from a recognized college or university;

proficiency in English: TOEFL 550, 213 computer-based, or a corresponding standard on an alternative test;
|  |
excellent communication skills and hospitality-mindedness. |

The Travel and Tourist sector is one of the world's largest and fastest growing industries and will continue to be a significant source of growth and prosperity worldwide. According to WTTC research, Travel & Tourism (including hotels and restaurants) generates economic activity representing over ten percent of the global GDP. The industry also accounts for over 200 million jobs, directly and indirectly; at present, the largest number of jobs of all of the world's economic sectors.
The Innovative Hospitality Management-program is a 1-year postgraduate course in Hotel and Tourism Management, focusing on innovating trends in the hospitality industry, on cross-cultural management and on personal development. The program is designed for hotel and tourism graduates who are particularly interested in the creative and multicultural aspects in the world of hospitality.
Innovative Hospitality Management is a joint initiative of ESADE - Escuela Universitaria de Turismo Sant Ignasi (Barcelona, Spain) and Maastricht Hotel Management School (Maastricht, the Netherlands).
The IHM students follow the first part of the program in Spain; the second program segment is offered at Maastricht Hotel Management School, while the Work Placement can be done anywhere in the world. Besides the specific module taught at each school, several subjects will continue throughout the year.
