Advanced Master in International and European Economic Law-Uni
International and European Economic Law (IEEL) meets the labour market's increasing demand for lawyers specialised in international and European economic law.
The advanced master in International and European Economic Law (IEEL) focuses on economic law at the international and European level and includes courses on international trade law, international investment law, international commercial law, international commercial litigation, international intellectual property law and policy, European internal market law, European competition law and EU external relations law. Many of these courses explicitly address the environmental, public health, cultural, national security, human rights and economic development dimensions of international trade and investment.
The programme also includes simulation exercises on EU legislative and judicial processes and on WTO negotiations and dispute settlement. Field trips to international organisations and European institutions (in Geneva, Brussels, Strasbourg, Luxembourg, Frankfurt and The Hague) as well as a series of Distinguished Guest Lectures (by senior government officials and private lawyers), are an integral part of the IEEL programme. IEEL students are strongly encouraged to participate in the ELSA Moot Court Competition on WTO Law as well as the European Law Moot Court Competition.
