As an applied mathematician, you link the beauty of mathematical descriptions and models to the thorough understanding of physical, engineering and financial principles.
The master’s program Applied Mathematics at the University of Twente offers you the opportunity of choosing a specific field of interest in which you want to expand your mathematical knowledge and experience to be prepared for a career in science or industry. When choosing one of the four specializations, you will closely cooperate with disciplines like physics, engineering, finance, economics and computer science. From the start of your master’s program, you will become a member of a research group with a strong international reputation. In the first year, you choose a number of courses; the second year involves an industrial training period and a master’s thesis project. The Applied Mathematics master’s program is taught in English and is open to students with a relevant bachelor’s degree.
Specializations:
Financial Engineering
Industrial Engineering and Operations Research
Mathematical Physics and Computational Mechanics
