Research Master in Health Sciences-Uni

The Research Master in Health Sciences prepares students to propose, plan and conduct research related to health sciences and healthcare.

The internationally oriented Health Sciences research programme covers the whole range of public health fields and provides excellent preparation if you wish to pursue a PhD or a career as a professional researcher. There are three distinct profiles:

• Clinical Epidemiology
• Health Technology Assessment
• Social Sciences

This programme offers multidisciplinary approaches in the first year and practical training at outstanding institutes in the second year. Students work on their own research project from the start; the School for Public Health and Primary Care offers PhD positions to the most talented graduates. This is a two-year full-time programme taught in English.

Maastricht University is currently the only university in the Netherlands that offers a two-year research master's in Health Sciences. The programme collaborates with a number of foreign universities to conduct student exchanges, receive visiting lecturers and collaborate on research programmes.
