General information
The five specializations represent the research programmes that are consistently evaluated as among the best in the Netherlands. Each specialization emphasises the integration of basic and applied research. The philosophy is that basic research needs to have relevance for phenomena in society, and that applied research needs to be directly theoretically relevant.

The programme is designed primarily for highly talented, motivated and ambitious students who are interested in pursuing a career in scientific research.

Admission
High performance during the Bachelor’s degree programme
Knowledge of relevant theories and statistics (including multiple regression and analysis of variance), and experience with statistical software packages
Preference for one of the five research groups
