Elements
The MSc programme Earth and Environment runs annually, beginning in September (starting in 2011). It comprises 120 European Credit points (EC) and takes two academic years to complete. The first year consists of coursework (40 weeks in total); the second year consists of an academic internship (16 weeks) and thesis research (26 weeks). The thesis forms the core component of the Master's degree curriculum.
The course work consists of compulsory core subjects (CS), restricted optional subjects (RO) and optional subjects (O). In consultation with your study adviser, you can adjust your programme to your own interests, wishes and needs. Thus, your individual programme can be made to measure.
