International Economics and Business in Nijmegen
Are you looking for an international and broadly-oriented programme in Economics, which also integrates important business perspectives? Then the new English-taught specialization International Economics and Business (IE&B) or the Bachelor degree programme Economics and Business Economics are exactly the study programme for you.

International Economics and Business (IE&B) is the new three year English-taught specialization of the Bachelor degree Economics and Business Economics. In IE&B you will gain knowledge about economic issues and you will learn how to analyze, explain, and solve those issues. Therefore you will make use of (international) economic theories. International organization policies will be studied and the activities carried out by multinationals will be analyzed.

Who and why?
IE&B is an internationally-oriented and English-taught programme for students who wish to acquire a broad foundation while studying for a Bachelor degree. That is why IE&B offers a curriculum that integrates several fields of interest. While the emphasis is on (international) economics, a great deal of attention is also paid to business economics (especially finance & accounting) and to a lesser extent to business administration. IE&B provides a blend of disciplines, from which you can select your Master specialization for the future. IE&B prepares you for an international career. To gain international experience, you will venture further to study at a partner university outside the Netherlands for six months during the third year of your study.

Studying abroad
During the first semester of the third year, you will study at a foreign partner university outside the Netherlands. This period is perfect for finding a specialization because you will have the opportunity to delve into a topic of your choice. If you know which Master you would like to enrol in prior to this semester, the courses at the foreign partner university can be selected in a way preparing your perfectly for your Master specialization.
